21 Apr SQA Update: 21/04/2020
Please be aware that the SQA have recently provided an update of their arrangements for the delivery of this year’s qualifications.
The full statement can be accessed here: https://www.sqa.org.uk/sqa/93920.html
As you will see from this statement, schools have now been provided with initial guidance on the tasks that they are required to complete by 29 May 2020. These tasks will provide the SQA with the information that they require to ensure that each candidate will be certificated on 4 August 2020. A full copy of the guidance provided to schools (to date) can be accessed using the link at the end of the statement above. In addition, within the statement is also a link to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section of the SQA website, which provides a number of helpful responses to the most common questions arising currently.
I would urge all parents, carers and learners to review the updated information, including the FAQs, so that you are all fully informed of current developments. If following this you have questions which remain unanswered, please feel free to email me directly, using the details below. As was my guidance before this update, I would appreciate you not contacting teaching staff directly regarding personal circumstances or teacher estimates. Additionally, please do not call the school and leave a voice message, as I am not able to access such messages currently.
Finally, I would like to offer thanks for the patience and kindness that many have shown during these testing times and I hope that you and your families remain safe and well.
