Care Experience Bursary
Did you know anyone of any age who has been looked after for even a day can apply for Care Experience Bursary? It is £8100 per year and applies to most full-time college and university courses. Citizens Advice Scotland – Young People
Employment is the second biggest issue Citizens Advice Bureau across Scotland give advice on to young people, particularly in relation to pay and entitlements as well as terms and conditions, with CAS data on clients under 25 showing that that around 1 in 5 are seeking advice on employment issue. Interview Clothing Help
Did you know that high street chain Timpson Ltd offer FREE dry cleaning of garments for interview if you are unemployed and seeking work? You don’t need a voucher for this, just ask at the counter to get the deal. Timpson confirmed you can get any number of clothing items dry cleaned for free as long as it’s for an interview. There isn’t currently an end date to this offer, it continues to run as long as people didn’t ‘take it to the cleaners’, so please only claim the free dry cleaning if you genuinely do need it. The offer is running in every store that has dry cleaning facilities – about 300 stores across the UK.
