24 Feb Class Absence Alerts
Currently, your parents/carers inform us if you are going to be absent for any reason. We then alert them if you are absent at the start of the day without a known reason. This is to ensure we can all work together to ensure your safety. We will be increasing the frequency of these alerts to parents/carers to include after break and lunchtime. This will allow much faster communication with home than the letters which we have been sending out for unknown absences in the past.
This will begin at the start of March. It is vital that any pupil who receives instrumental lessons in school register first with their class teacher before making their way to Music. This will ensure that an absence call is not sent home in error.
Please note, when you arrive late to certain classes (after register has been completed and once the lesson has started) updating the online system can involve a slight delay which can result in an absence calls going out unnecessarily. Your parents/carers have been informed of this but to limit this, we remind you of the importance of being on time to all classes.
